ISMA Attendance Policy

1. Mandatory Events

ISMA will use a points-based attendance system, and RSVPs will be tracked through Flare to encourage consistent engagement while allowing flexibility.

General Meetings

3 Meetings
Each General Meeting = 1 point
Members must earn all 3 points
Missed the General Meeting? Make up the point by attending an extra social!

Mentor Orientation & Retreat

Required for all mentors.
Worth 1 point

Pre-Matching Socials

There are two Pre-Matching Socials — you must attend at least one (both are encouraged!).
Each Pre-Matching social = 1 point
If you miss one, attending the other will fulfill your requirement.

Matching Social

Required — this is where you’ll meet your official match!
Worth 1 point
If you cannot attend, you must make up the point by attending an extra social

2. Social/Other Events

Members must earn at least 5 Social Points during the semester.Can meet this requirement in 2 ways:

Official Socials

Planned by ISMA officers
RSVP required
Highly encouraged to attend (we work hard on these, and they’re really fun!)

Unofficial Socials

Casual, low-commitment hangouts
No RSVP required
Examples: studying at Evans, getting ice cream, coffee chats, etc.

➡️ Both official and unofficial socials count toward social points.

3. Good Standing

Follow the attendance policy & get your point requirements → good standing

Recognition at end-of-semester events
Leadership opportunities in future semesters
